AI job titles, explained
Titles that mean the same job. The same work gets called many different things, which makes these roles hard to search for. This is our plain-English key.
Why so many titles?
Because the role is new. The MTF Institute studied 100 live AI enablement vacancies in August 2026 and found 82 unique titles, 75 of them used only once. The work was consistent; the names were not.
