Using these figures when you set pay

  • Compare the job, as well as the title. What AI operations & implementation roles involve shows the duties behind these ads.
  • Check whether a figure is a salary, a day rate or a maximum before comparing it with yours.
  • State the pay in your ad. It is one of the parts most often missing from the ads we read.

How we worked these out

  • Every UK ad we have listed for this kind of role, live or closed. Each listing links to the employer's own ad, or the job board it was posted on.
  • Pay counts only when the employer states it in the ad. We never estimate pay or fill gaps.
  • For an annual range we take the midpoint (for example £60,000 for £55,000–£65,000). A single figure is its own midpoint.
  • Ads that state only a maximum ("up to") count as stating pay, but have no midpoint. Day rates are shown on their own.
  • We show a median only when at least 5 ads give an annual salary. Below that we show the range.
  • Role types are ours, set when each role is added. Ads posted through a recruitment agency often don't name the employer.
