AI adoption and AI champion roles explained

Last updated 23 Oct 2026 · 26 live roles

AI adoption roles get staff to use the AI tools an employer has bought, and keep using them. The work is training, coaching, drop-in help, building a network of AI champions in each team, and measuring usage. An AI champion is often a part-time role inside an existing job; AI adoption leads and managers do it full time.

Questions

What does an AI champion do?

An AI champion helps colleagues in their own team use AI tools: answering questions, sharing tips and passing feedback to the central team. It is usually a few hours a month on top of their normal job.

Is an AI champion a good way into an AI career?

It can be. Being a champion gives you evidence of training people and changing how a team works, which is what AI adoption and enablement roles ask for.

Do AI adoption roles need technical skills?

The adoption roles we list rarely ask for coding. You need to be comfortable with the tools and able to explain them simply.
