Senior AI Acceleration and Adoption Lead
Owns AI training and adoption for the law firm's business services teams in London, Europe and Asia, as the in-house expert on tools like Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude and Harvey.
AI adoption leads and AI enablement leads do much the same job: they get staff using the AI tools an employer has bought, through training, AI champions, short guides and tracking who uses the tools. An AI transformation manager changes how the business works. They choose which processes to redesign with AI, write the business case, run the programme and track the benefits. In the live ads on this site, 6 of 12 AI transformation ads mention a business case, against 0 of 18 AI enablement and adoption ads. 10 of the 18 enablement and adoption ads name Microsoft Copilot, against 2 of the 12 transformation ads.
Very little in most ads. Employers use the two words for the same kind of job, and some use both in one title, such as OMERS' Associate, AI Enablement & Adoption. Some enablement ads also give the person the setup work. Unity Advisory's AI Enablement Lead puts the firm's AI policies and guardrails into practice, and the National Wealth Fund's AI Enablement & Product Manager shapes use cases with governance colleagues.
A transformation manager owns change to the business itself. The job starts with a process or a part of the business, and the AI tool is one way to change it. For example, Entain's AI Transformation Manager finds and delivers AI-enabled change across commercial, product and operations teams, from business case to adoption, and JLL's Rewire AI Transformation Office Lead runs a pipeline of AI and automation opportunities and tracks the savings. Training staff can be part of the plan, but the job is judged on the business change. Some employers hire both kinds of role: Freshfields has live AI enablement and AI transformation roles on this site.

The titles vary a lot across the market too. The MTF Institute's study of 100 live AI enablement vacancies (August 2026) found 82 different exact titles. Search for several of these titles, not only "AI enablement". The glossary groups the titles that mean the same job.
If you come from L&D, HR, training or internal comms, adoption and enablement roles are the closer fit. If you have run programmes or business change, look at transformation roles. The full guides cover each role: AI enablement lead, AI adoption and champion roles and AI transformation manager.
Mostly, yes. UK employers use the two titles for the same kind of job: training staff, supporting AI champions and tracking use of tools such as Microsoft Copilot. Enablement roles sometimes also own the guides and usage rules.
Not always. Seniority depends on the employer and the title, so check the reporting line and pay in each ad. Transformation ads more often mention a business case, which means working with senior sponsors.
